BLOCKHAUS PEAK (2086mt a.s.l.)

Follow the street that from the hotel arrives until the Rifugio Pomilio (1888mt a.s.l.), which is the last point accessible by car. From here starts a route about 3 km with stunning view on the sea, Gran Sasso and Majella.

Leaving Pretoro, follow the direction for Roccamontepiano and then Serramonacesca. You can reach the hermitage by car and next to it there is the deer wildlife area.

APPENINE WOLF WILDELIFE AREA (Pretoro)

You can book a guided tour in the area. The best hours to observe wolves in their habitat are afternoon during winter season and evening in summer. The area is accessible only with a guide.

SAN BARTOLOMEO HERMITAGE (Roccamorice)

A 4km da Roccamorice, a 650m s.l.m., proprio in quel luogo dove la natura si rileva più impervia, perfettamente mimetizzato con la materia rocciosa che lo compone sfruttando proprio la balza di roccia lunga circa 50 m., troviamo l’Eremo di San Bartolomeo in Legio.

Visitare il Parco

La primavera inoltrata è la stagione delle fioriture e, insieme all’autunno, il momento migliore per visitare paesi ed eremi. L’estate è la stagione più consigliata per percorrere i sentieri. I percorsi per gli appassionati di trekking sono, a volte, lunghi e faticosi; quelli che si sviluppano che si sviluppano prevalentemente in alta quota richiedono minore fatica, ma restano comunque impegnativi, sia per le condizioni climatiche che per le difficoltà di orientamento.

SANTO SPIRITO A MAJELLA HERMITAGE (Rocccamorice)

L’Eremo di Santo Spirito a Maiella, si presenta immersa in un contesto paesaggistico e naturalistico unico. Si trova nel paese di Roccamorice a 1132m s.l.m. lungo una parete di roccia calcarea avvolta da una maestosa faggeta, cuore dell’Appennino centrale abruzzese.

Eremo di San Liberato a Maiella

Situato nel paese di Serramonacesca, ai piedi della Maiella, troviamo l’eremo di San Liberatore a Maiella. Si tratta di uno dei più importanti esempi di architettura romanica abruzzese.

Maiella Adventure Park

Il Parco Avventura Majella è il più grande Parco Avventura d’Italia e si trova a Guardiagrele, in località Piana delle Mele. L’attività del Parco Avventura consiste nell’affrontare gli oltre 250 giochi sospesi tra gli alberi, camminando tra passerelle, ponti tibetani e tunnel tirolesi mozzafiato, il tutto nella massima sicurezza e con l’assistenza del personale qualificato. Nel Parco Avventura ci sono 5 percorsi per bambini dai 2 ai 4 anni, 6 percorsi per bambini dai 5 ai 7 anni e altri 16 percorsi per ragazzi e adulti. L’accesso alle aree di Piana delle Mele è gratuito, si pagano solo le attività che si vogliono fare.
